DLANHS UPDATE
|
A Diminutive Woman yet a Giant in Action
Zenaida Duran Tulabing is fondly called as “Naiding” or “Naids” by her colleagues and friends. She’s the eldest daughter of Primitivo Duran , a retired elementary teacher and his better half Vienvineda Tepacia, a native of Bindoy. Born on October 11,1961 having Libra as a Zodiac Sign, she displays passion to whatever she does and has good head above her shoulders. She finished her Secondary Education in DLANHS and pursued the Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Home Economics at Silliman University, Dumaguete City and just out of college her first teaching post was her high school Alma Mater in which she has been teaching for 30 years now. Though she is not physically built on the heavy set, yet is a strong as an amazon when it comes to decision making that drives her to be more determined to hatch her dream into reality. With Master Teacher I in TLE to her name, she was assigned to be the Assistant School Principal for years and currently the Teacher In-Charge of the school. And not to rest on her laurels, she is now pursuing her Post-Graduate studies in Cebu Technological University. This new journey in her life is well supported by her husband
Cecilio Tulabing and her three grown up kids Necelle Ann, Chris Jun, and Jecelle, the youngest who is in college while the two are working as a nurse and a mariner. Being the school administrator today, she is a grand dreamer of seeing DLANHS as a school of competence. She is keen observer of what’s going on around and noticing things to be improved to make the school a safe and a comely institution whilst students gain foothold in education and discovering their potential as well. Hence, this dream turned into reality by building fences, cemented pathways , new schoolroom buildings and comfort rooms by being a prudent planner utilizing the funds coming from government funds intended for school improvement. With utmost concern for the school, she sees to it that everything is well managed even when it comes to classroom instructions , thus there is an influx of newly hired teachers this year which help in reducing the number of students crowding in just one section. Zenaida Tulabing has still a long way to go in making Demetrio L. Alviola National High School, a home of achievers, but she’s not afraid to ride the rough tide though she knows far ahead there are sand bars that will hinder her smooth sailing. Just like a veteran surfer, the higher the waves get the more the challenges intensify ,the thrill is more exhilarating because at the end you’ll be at the top of your game. She’s a woman on fire because she believes in the motto “Aim high and hit the mark”.
Kudos to Maa’m Tulabing!
